History
Little Tinker Gifts started just 2 years ago with the birth my own little tinker, Jack. Like most new parents my wife and I were swamped with gifts and presents for our new arrival. There was however, one gift that we were given by a very good friend, it was Jack's name in a themed picture, illustrated and painted by my friends lovely mum who sadly passed away soon after. Being an illustrator and a creative person myself I loved it, and it has been hanging in his room ever since.
A year later my brother and sister-in-law were expecting a new arrival and I wanted to get them a similar gift but I just couldn’t find what I wanted anywhere. I searched the internet and all I could find were wooden letters, fabric letters and wall plaques, so that is when I decided to create a picture myself. As an experienced artist and illustrator, I soon set about creating a personalised picture for my brother and sister-in-laws little boys nursery with my own characters and techniques. They loved the gift which had their son's name Jacob, his weight, time and date of birth all incorporated in the picture.
Word spread quickly and I was soon creating another one. Soon I was getting requests all the time and people were suggesting I should do this for a living: so 'little tinker gifts' was born.
